Crynodeb
You will take part in outpatient clinics and routine inpatient care as directed. You will also be responsible for helping run the haematuria, prostate assessment and emergency follow up clinics. The emergency on call rota (non-resident) will be part of your remit. Assistance in operating theatres (both inpatient and outpatient) will be programmed into your timetable. Urological emergencies may need operative management and you will be expected to arrange urgent theatre slots and ensure that patients are adequately prepared. In addition to this you will be expected to attend the weekly Urology Multidisciplinary Meeting and Department Academic Meetings. The weekly Major Trauma Meeting is optional. The post holder will be trained to perform core urological procedures. A regular undergraduate teaching session will be timetabled. To be responsible, with management support, for their own personal development and to actively contribute to the development of colleagues.
