Summary
Opportunities to join the UCLH Electronic Health Record (EHR) management team have arisen within our ‘Inpatients’ and ‘Patient Access & Flow’ teams. We are looking to recruit two enthusiastic individuals with a keen interest and ideally experience in digital healthcare. The successful candidates will manage their portion of a diverse team of analysts who support UCLH’s digital infrastructure. This is an exciting time to join our team, with significant growth planned for the department in supporting the implementation of Epic for another NHS Trust.
The EHR inpatient team consists of several applications that cover inpatient services, extending to emergency services, theatres and anaesthetics, and maternity services (across the spectrum of inpatients, outpatients and the community). The Patient Access & Flow team is responsible for all areas of inpatient and outpatient scheduling, patient registration, pathway management, bed management, portering and cleaning. The post holders will oversee and be responsible for the design, configuration, build, and testing of select modules amongst these. Along with their EHR Delivery Manager, they will be responsible for close integration of their application teams with the other application teams in the EHR programme (e.g. outpatients). This includes supporting the Delivery Manager to ensure the team execute relevant plans and deliver work on time in adherence to the established governance structure and quality standards with agile ways of working. They will engage regularly with clinicians and operational managers, analysing service needs, and helping them to agree and deliver clinical best practice standards, future workflows and system optimisation. They will help scope and prioritise new projects in line with Trust strategic objectives.
