PWTAG is a UK-based independent, non-commercial membership organisation, dedicated to raising standards in pool water treatment. Our work over the last 35 years has made us the authoritative source of standards and guidance in the management of swimming, spa and hydrotherapy pools.

Our book Swimming Pool Water: treatment and quality standards for pools and spas is the definitive guide while our Code of Practice is a vital industry text.

We collaborate with government agencies and professional and technical specialist bodies. Currently twenty of these Organisations form our core membership. Their representatives are crucial in setting and maintaining standards for the management of safe pool water.

About The Role
Swim England is advertising this vacancy on behalf of PWTAG.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside the PWTAG Council to oversee the company direction, taking strategic and tactical action to raise the profile and relevance of PWTAG in the sector.

The role is part-time, 2 days per week (15 hours), based working from home, with the following key duties and responsibilities:

Developing and implementing strategies and policies to ensure the further promotion of PWTAG within the swimming and spa pool sector
Promotion and growth of membership base
Promotion and further development of PoolMark and other PWTAG activities within the industry
Monitoring the organisation’s performance indicators and any budgetary and financial activities
Identification and promotion of measures to improve the operations and performance to meet PWTAG’s goals
Monitoring and management of the services of both PWTAG Admin and the Technical Editor


About You
The role would ideally suit someone who is driven to raise the profile and expand the reach of PWTAG, strengthening and forming new partnerships and growing the membership base.

The successful candidate will also possess:

Senior management experience in the same or similar industry
Sales and marketing experience
An engineering / science-based degree or equivalent
A background of working in a commercial technical sector
Significant experience in supervision or management with a proven track record of leading teams to achieve results
Knowledge of swimming and spa pool operation would be an advantage
