Job Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organisational skills to join our web team family.

As a Digital Asset Management System Administrator, you will play an important part in making this a reality by supporting internal adoption and implementation of a system of digital assets designed to help us communicate and share ideas, values and experiences.

Your work will help the External Relations Directorate to ensure that audiences around the world achieve their goals; from discovering the perfect undergraduate course to sourcing funding for their Postgraduate qualification, and much more.

Our mission is to help people to achieve their goals and have fun learning along the way.

What will this work involve?

A Digital Asset Management system (DAM) is being rolled out across the University to help colleagues to better organise, store and retrieve digital content including University generated photos, videos, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs and other digital files. This helps us to ensure authenticity and consistency, track usage e?ectively, and manage usage rights.

Your primary task will be to help facilitate the structured ingestion of new assets into the system, as well as to ensure that what is already in the system is organised accurately and e?ectively, to better help sta? find what they need, when they need it.

You'll be supported by the Web Services team Digital Designer, who will provide training and guidance in terms of structures and procedures.

The University of Dundee currently o?ers a hybrid approach to work where sta? members can work on campus and remotely during the working week. Please see Hybrid working policy | University of Dundee, UK for more information. This post would NOT be considered for a fully remote post.

About Us

External Relations

Our aim in External Relations is to support and enhance the University's reputation.

Our ethos

Our aim within Web Services is to be "Deliberately Collaborative". This means:

  • We openly share our work within the team, External Relations and the University.

  • We openly share our knowledge wherever possible and add value to other areas.

  • We seek out and test views and assumptions that are contrary to our own and challenge our own understanding of how things work to make it better for the user.

  • We respect each other, embrace our di?erences and value the contributions that each person can bring to the wider team.

  • We actively make our analytics, user data and test results available to underpin a data-led consideration of requirements.

  • We actively encourage team members to become part of external specialist communities of practice and to attend conferences, workshops, training, and meetups to share and widen their own knowledge and experience.
