The successful candidate is expected to be based in, or be able to attend meetings in the Kent, Surrey, Sussex geography. Base:KSS AHSNs (trading as Health Innovation KSS) primary place of business is The Beehive, located in Gatwick/Crawley, West Sussex. We have further satellite/hot-desking arrangements at sites located in Guildford and Brighton. Reports to: Deputy Director, Patient Experience and Involvement, NHS Sussex Accountable to: Deputy Director, Patient Experience and Involvement, NHS Sussex Key Result Areas To provide leadership and expert advice to Kent and Medway and Sussex ICBs on the effective involvement of patients, carers and the public in digital and data programmes. To lead the approach to, and operational delivery of, public involvement for the Secure Data Environment (SDE) programme across Kent and Medway and Sussex ICBs, liaising the with regional (Southern) and national SDE leads, as appropriate. To interpret national guidance and involvement plans and outputs, apply to the needs of the local health and care systems, and build further insight capture mechanisms and channels to create added value to this area of work locally. To develop and maintain an expert advisory group to guide the approach to SDE public involvement across Kent and Medway and Sussex. To develop representative online panels to act as a forum for ongoing insight capture in relation to Digital and Data programmes, including SDE work. To support the involvement of people from marginalised communities in Digital and Data programmes including SDE work, building on existing place-based relationships and networks to support effective communication and liaison. Maintain a project log across Kent and Medway and Sussex ICBs, including ongoing outputs, impact and risks. Design, produce and deliver high level project and programme updates, ensuring accessible information is also provided to people and communities. Support the development of appropriate local communication materials related to Digital and Data programmes, including SDE, in line with national and regional programme and project requirements. To liaise with wider research initiatives as required, ensuring a consistent approach to involvement in research. To act as an effective member of the Working with People and Communities team in Kent and Medway and Sussex ICBs, providing expertise and support to priority areas of work, as required. Provide line management to team members, as required. This job description is designed to identify key responsibilities of the post. To participate in surveys and audits as necessary in order to enable the organisation to meet its statutory requirements. To be aware of the organisations emergency planning processes and follow such processes as necessary, in the event of a sudden unexpected incident. Planning and information. Contribute to the strategic planning of Team projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on wider organisation, resource requirements and building in contingency and adjustments as necessary. Contribute to the development of performance and governance strategies and the development and implementation of improvement programmes, in accordance with Clusters and Sector priorities. Contribute to short, medium and long-term business plans, achieving quality outcomes. ICS Function Development & Support Operate effectively in a flexible and demanding environment and proactively engage with NHS staff, consultants and contractors working on a variety of topics Work effectively with a variety of external consultancies working on other projects and programmes within other NHS directorates as required. Link with managers and members of other functions, to address inter-dependencies and ensure alignment. Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the impact of any change. Deputise for the Head of Department as required, expanding on knowledge, skills and experience within persona professional development. Policy and Service Development Responsible for proposing and drafting changes, implementation and interpretation to policies, guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs) which may impact service. Proposes changes to own function making recommendations for other service delivery. The post holder will need to maintain a good knowledge of emerging policies from government departments for example pensions, change management, constitution. This will assist in the thinking and definition of the strategy discussions for the Network and stakeholders. Governance & Corporate Leadership Plan, develop and evaluate methods and processes for gathering, analysing, interpreting, and presenting data and information. Deliver projects to comply with key performance indicators. Co-ordinating Research & Development initiatives, delegating as appropriate. Engaging People/Key Working Relationships Key relationships include but are not limited to: Executives, peers and colleagues across the Sussex Integrated Care System (ICS), and Kent and Medway ICS. Colleagues in South Central and West (SCW) leading on the Kent, Medway and Sussex Secure Data Environment programme. Close, integrated working, with colleagues in NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care Provider Boards, clinical and managerial leads from across all sectors (including third and private sectors) Local authorities, including Public Health, Adult & Childrens Social Care Universities, schools and colleges Public, patients and carers particularly groups established for engagement. Professional networks across neighbouring health and care systems, as well as regional and national system architecture Commercial partners and suppliers Research partners and communities, including HDRUK Management and Leadership Directorate Management To oversee team members to deliver the requirements: engage and liaise with key stakeholder, in particular: To support the delivery of day-to-day activities and projects To manage team and drive delivery of a range of business initiatives and projects To support the identification and sharing of best practice in employee engagement To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment Support the portfolio of initiatives in demonstrating value for money for the current spend through tracking, managing, and delivering agreed benefits.
