Summary


Information Management and Technology Services (IM&T Services) provide support to Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust users as well as to several other Health organisations across Oxfordshire. This involves supporting over 13,000 workstations and printers, circa 18,000 staff users of systems, and over 1200 servers (over 85% virtual). During 2022, IM&T Services responded to 122,000 calls and were involved in multiple projects.

This role supports a busy, fast-moving technical environment and a diverse user community across Oxfordshire and surrounding areas and can provide considerable technical and personal development in a wide range of technologies and operational/project functions.

Within the PACS & RIS Team, the post-holder will be key to the development, operation, and support of Oxford University Hospitals Trust (OUH) PACS and RIS systems and services and will work closely with the OUH Radiology Department to ensure that OUH and other client trust Service Level Agreements are either met or exceeded.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project and service delivery working with radiology systems with experience of innovating changes to system architecture to improve user experience. A good working knowledge of the functions and challenges of Diagnostics is desirable.

The post holder will be key to developing and delivering training programmes to a wide variety of users across the client base. The post holder will also have key involvement in establishing processes and is expected to coach and support other members of the team in adopting these procedures. The post holder will maintain a current knowledge of developments in the wider IT environs and apply that knowledge to both problem solving and process.

Ensures that all documentation related to the PACS & RIS infrastructure is developed and maintained.
• Monitors access to any part of the PACS & RIS infrastructure in accordance with established organisational procedures.
• Provides technical management and control of resources required to provide an efficient and cost-effective PACS & RIS infrastructure delivery service to users, customers and clients.
• In accordance with change control procedures, evaluates the need for technical changes to the operation of the PACS & RIS infrastructure and executes approved changes.
