The department is based at Royal Oldham Hospital and provides a comprehensive diagnostic service to the Northern Car Alliance Trust and surrounding CCG’s. The department receives 48,000 Histology cases per annum and 6,000 Diagnostic Cytology cases per annum.
Applications are invited from motivated, dynamic associate practitioners for this exciting and busy post. As an associate practitioner within Cellular Pathology you will participate in the delivery of our ISO 15189 accredited service.
The department is in an exciting time as we continue to develop a single cellular pathology service as part of the Northern Care Alliance. We are looking to fill this post in Cellular Pathology with an individual who is experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated, diligent and conscientious; a person who can reflect the trust values through their contribution to the work of the laboratory. You must be able to work on your own and enjoy working as part of a team.
Daily duties will include: microtomy, , assisting in cut up, machine maintenance, tissue embedding and supporting the quality management system
