THE PEOPLE TEAM
The People Team are based across several locations in the UK, US and Asia, working both onsite with Agencies and remotely. We are a professional, close-knit team, of specialists driving industry leading Strategic Partnering, Talent Management and People Services/Experience.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a credible, impactful, and forward thinking, HR professional with strong and broad experience to lead the People Services and Experience Team.Reporting into the Head of People, and joining the People Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the delivery of all operational HR activity, ensuring a proactive, efficient and effective service is provided to all Mission Group businesses. In addition, you will also lead a key number of vital workstreams aligned with our journey to make Mission a great place to work.
This is a pivotal role in the People Team and is key to the teams’ success. You will need to be a strong, hands-on HR Generalist who really enjoys leading on process and service improvement. Working closely with colleagues and supported by a team, you’ll help to shape, support and drive the delivery of a forward-thinking People proposition. Your role will involve driving change and managing strategic and BAU HR projects, redesigning and streamlining processes, enhance efficiency and improve the employee experience.

Key responsibilities will include:
Lead and develop an internal-customer focused People Services team to deliver an efficient service to colleagues and managers, whilst delivering service and system improvements.
Develop and constantly evolve a full range of best-in-class HR policies and processes across the entire employee lifecycle, always looking for ways to improve the service and people experience
Work closely with the Partnering team to support and lead on process improvement, identifying frustrations / issues and creatively implementing a solution
Lead the development, management and maintenance of the HR System and provide advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on understanding the capability of the HR system and self service
Maximise the HR System to provide reports/data that support effective decision making, working closely with HRBPs to identify trends and actions
Scope and project plan how the HRIS can better integrate with other Company systems (Finance, Payroll etc)
Lead the ongoing journey to a central progressive reward and recognition offering
Work closely with our payroll colleagues to ensure great delivery of payroll and employee benefits activities as appropriate
Be responsible for the management and delivery of people risks, to ensure the team and are compliant with employment law and legislation such as GDPR
Keep up to date with industry trends and leverage vendors appropriately to ensure all People Service operations are keeping pace with the market and external benchmarks.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
A credible, experienced HR professional with broad HR generalist knowledge
HR operations experience, including management of a team
Curious and ambitious with an appetite to drive change
Experience of building and managing a delivery team ideally within a shared services environment
Able to work well with complexity and ambiguity
Resilient and comfortable with a broad and challenging remit
IT savvy, systems and process minded – experience of scoping and implementing a new HRIS system (desirable)
Knowledge and experience of managing benefit schemes and provider reviews (desirable)
Strong analytic, numeric, and critical reasoning skills
Passionate about HR and a great ambassador for the team
CIPD qualified or equivalent
