Crynodeb
1. To act at all times, as an ambassador for the Glaucoma Clinic to patients and their relatives, to colleagues and to other members of the public. 2. To act as a first line to resolve complaints by or on behalf of a patients relative or refers and appropriately escalates them to the Charge Nurse. 3. To raise patients concerns with the Charge Nurse or Doctor as appropriate and to check patient understanding where it is deemed to be necessary. 4. To accompany and support appropriate patients during transfer within the hospital as directed by the qualified staff. 5. To liaise with Orthoptic/Optometric/Photography/Nursing/Medical colleagues, reporting patients condition and progress within capabilities and to be aware of the need to inform qualified staff of any changes in the patients condition. 6. All staff must ensure they use resources in a manner consistent with organisational objectives and policies, ensuring that resources are realistic, justified and of clear benefit to the organisation. 7. Act as a role model to demonstrate clinical and administrative skills to more junior staff, including mentorship of new staff members For further details of the role please see the attached job description.
