UNIVERSITY COUNSELLOR GRADE 6 (PART-TIME)
£38,205 - £44,264 pa (pro rata)
The University of Liverpool is seeking to recruit a counsellor/ therapist, for 21 hours per week. Based within the Student Life Division of the Directorate of Student Experience and Enhancement, the practitioner will join an experienced multi-disciplinary team supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students. You will be a team player with the ability to communicate with students from a variety of backgrounds. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification) and hold current accreditation and registration with a relevant professional body as well as relevant experience of short-term and longer term focussed counselling and group-work in a similar organisational setting.
This post will enable the University to further develop effective support for students and will contribute to the work already being undertaken within Student Services. With a recognised professional qualification in counselling or psychotherapy and accreditation you will have the ability to communicate with and appreciate the lifestyle of students from various cultures and backgrounds.
