Summary

The post holder is expected to support the Director of Business Intelligence deliver the analytics environment and service for London. The Assistant Director of BI Data Warehouse and Systems Solution will Strategic focus To lead the development of the strategic plan for the data and solution programme for London, bringing together a collective view of the outcomes, resources and expertise needed to meet the needs of the health system in London. To lead and maintain the planning of outcomes for the London data and solution landscape, ensuring that each platform has the appropriate capabilities to enable the transformation of the London region. To lead the test and quality assurance strategy for the London data and solution programme(s). Make sure that all data programmes are continually monitored and measured for success. To lead the creation of the London SNSDE roadmap and portfolio so that consistency, standardisation, gateways and assurance is in place for all London analytical use cases. To lead the strategic delivery and financial planning for the London SNSDE outcomes. Turn the strategic goals and objectives into actionable plans. To present highly complex information about projects, initiatives and services to a wide range of stakeholders in a formal setting and at board level. To develop relationships with provider partners technical teams where necessary and identify opportunities for common ways of working i.e. information models, coding standards, data quality etc. Operational focus Lead the review of the regional and national landscape for the delivery of innovation and research opportunities. Turn opportunities into actionable policy and funding opportunities. Work with the relevant research organisation in the creation of projects and programmes needed to executive transformation of digital pathways for London. Lead the internal research of leading technologies which will make a difference to the health system in London. Develop programmes of work to implement these technologies across the London region Work with the operational teams to ensure service offers for researchers, BI teams, transformation teams and clinicians are made possible through data availability Ensuring the platform is fit for purpose for research with appropriate tooling and right level of security as set-out by national and Health Data Research UK (HDRUK) standards Assure the development of forward-looking resource and activity plans for Londons data and solution programme, ensuring the optimal delivery cadence for the programme in flight. Lead the formulation of the strategic plans of up to three years, providing programme direction within the region on Londons needs, accountable for delivery of the nominated programme workstream. Deliver against objectives, achieving quality outcomes, prioritising own workload and working to tight deadlines. Lead the prioritisation of the programme workload across the regions, ensuring that deliverables provide the best value outcome for patients and service users. Leadership focus Manage relationships with technical suppliers and ensure they are managed effectively through account meetings, performance reviews Manage supplier contracts and lead on procurements where required. Manage, motivate and inspire team members, investing time in their development identifying training needs. Represent NWL at regional and national forums Provide regular team briefings on ICB data strategy and Collaboration strategies and priorities ensuring all staff know how they contribute to the business Conduct annual appraisal for direct reports, setting personal objectives and development plans and providing constructive feedback to assist with development Build effective relationships with colleagues at all levels through open communication and constructive feedback Proactively manage poor performance, grievance and disciplinary issues in a sensitive and professional manner
