To undertake a range of reception and clerical duties as part of the administration team. Implementing appropriate procedures in order to contribute to patient care. To work as part of a team of administrators to provide a comprehensive customer care to the clinical service.

This position will be Monday to Friday 12midday to 8pm

To organise transport on behalf of patients, in line with Trust Policy.

To prioritise admin/clerical tasks in order of urgency referring to the ward managers/ward administrator when there is a need to request additional guidance and support.

Responsible for incoming and outgoing post, parcels and supplies. Recording, signing and obtaining signatures for all recorded mail.

· Assisting with ordering of supplies, i.e. stationery.

· Provide photocopying, faxing and scanning service.

Responsible for maintaining room booking diary in order to coordinate and monitor the bookings for all available rooms in the unit.

Responsible for issuing and maintenance of keys, passes, alarms, telephones etc in line with Trust Procedures.

Responsible for the safe custody of specimens for delivery to Pathology services and specimens for collection by courier service, where applicable.

Responsible for monitoring the fire alarm system for pre-alarms, alerting engineers should pre-alarm occur and Fire Alarm 999, where applicable.
