Job Overview
Working as the BMS Controls Engineer you will work alongside Mitie's Operational M&E team which is based at a large site with multiple buildings. Throughout the site the Trend BMS which is installed bridges number of generations so ideally you will have experience from IQ2s to the present including IQvision and 963.
You will need to be suitably qualified and have experience and training of the Trend Building Management System with knowledge of previous generation equipment and be extremely confident in fault finding. You will also need to have a strong technical understanding of networking and HVAC plant and applications and be electrically qualified.
BMS Engineer Role: Enhancing Efficiency
As a BMS engineer, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing building systems. Here's what you'll tackle:
Reactive Callouts and Remedial Works: Swiftly address system glitches and ensure smooth operations.
Strategic Contributions: Collaborate with site management to shape BMS strategies and work closely with site operations team and the client to address any reactive callouts and remedial/upgrade works.
Small Works, Big Impact: Carryout surveys, propose improvements and quote minor projects where required.
BMS Enhancement: Identify opportunities for system upgrades and be able to adopt tasks to make the site perform better.
Project Ownership: Manage larger works when needed and seek opportunities to gain greater experience of Trend and Tridium through integration and engineering.
Controller Configuration: Design efficient control strategies.
Sustainability Advocate: Be focused on supporting Mitie Plan Zero and support all service line opportunities wherever possible.
Safety First: Maintain Health and Safety standards.
What we are looking for
-Ideally you will have knowledge and experience equal to the Trend Expert competency level and have the ability to confidently modify software and schematics for 963 & IQVision.
-Experience of previous generation Trend controllers will be essential.
-You will need to be confident in the use of the Trend SET (Software Engineering Tool).
