Rate: £17.80 rising to £18.80
Role Title: Electrical Calibration & Maintenance Operator
Location: Bolton
Contract length: 12-Months

The Opportunity

  • An opportunity has arisen to join an improving team within the Calibration & Maintenance Department for Semi-Skilled Electrical Calibration Operator. This will involve working on Commercial Off The Shelf equipment, Electrical Safety Checks. The work is extremely varied, interesting and challenging.



Role responsibilities

  • Carry out calibration Electrical of COTS Equipment using METCAL.
  • Maintain calibration test records and update databases.
  • Provide assistance to skilled operator during the calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment
  • Carry out Electrical Safety Check
  • Check and complete all paperwork associated with C&M tasks in line with the Department procedures.
  • Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the department.

Role requirements (skills, training and qualifications)

The successful candidate should be a team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus. They should also have proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.

  • BTEC Level 3 in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a calibration & maintenance environment.
  • Manual handling training.
  • ESD training - desired.

Medical requirements

  • No colour blindness.

Health surveillance requirements

  • Colophony health surveillance.
