About Us: East Sussex College Hastings is a vibrant and inclusive further education institution committed to providing high-quality education and training. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Engineering Department as the HE Subject Lead.
Role Overview: As the HE Subject Lead in Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Mechanical and Electrical Degree programmes. You’ll be responsible for curriculum development, teaching, and leading the curriculum. This position involves teaching across FE and HE, including Higher National Diplomas and BSc.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach a wide range of subjects within Engineering
• Deliver engaging and effective teaching to students at various levels.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching methods and resources.
• Support student progression and success.
• Develop and enhance the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering curriculum.
• Collaborate with industry partners to ensure our programs align with industry needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A relevant degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
• Teaching experience in higher education, a focus on Engineering or Manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passion for student success and innovative teaching practices.
