• developingclientpathways

• Ensuringthe team is providingevidence-basedpractice

• coordinating1:1therapy blocksof Lee Silverman Voice Technique(LSVT) (training can be provided)and other evidence-basedtherapiese.g IQoroand working towards using EMST.

• delivering,evaluatingand improvingour already established course forgroups of clients with PD and their familiesalongside another member of the SLT team

• leadingonbenchmarkingour service using the PD UK audit

• developinglinks with other professionals byparticipatinginregularPD+ MDT clinicsandPD MDT meetings


Together withyourspecialismin PD,you would provide person-centredspecialistassessment, differentialdiagnosisand management for a varied caseload of adult clients withdysphagia and communication difficulties stemming from disorders such asMotor Neurone Disease, Dementia, brain tumours, stroke, Traumatic BrainInjuryand respiratory conditions.There would also be the opportunity ofproviding clinical supervision to other SLTs within the team.

• You will bepart of a supportive teamresponsible for providing specialist assessment, differential diagnosis and treatment of swallowing and communication difficulties in the community setting.

• You willbe responsible foroverseeing the PD service, developing evidence-based pathways and treatmentoptions

• You willparticipatein service development and be an effective member of the SLTteam

• You will provide clinical supervision to other members of our SLT team andstudents

• You will design and deliver training to other members of the MDT asrequired

• You will be supervised by asenior SLT, but an ability to work autonomously will be integral to therole
