Summary

Join our client based in Wilton, as a Tactical Buyer to join the turnaround team, in this temporary full-time role, working 38 (flexible) hours per week.

You will be ensuring the seamless supply of materials and services by leveraging your customer focus, communication skills, and decision-making abilities. Contributing to team success by initiating action and using your negotiation expertise to maximise value and reduce procurement costs, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.

You will be:

• Procuring local turnarounds and supporting EPM projects
• Managing sourcing, contracting, and procurement for Turnarounds
• Coordinating relations with stakeholders and optimising supplier conditions
• Creating POs >50K€ in competition to ensure value creation
• Ensuring compliance with regional legislation and global standards
• Executing vendor qualification and supplier management
• Achieving high supplier performance and stimulating continuous improvement
• Handling complaints and claims efficiently
• Providing operational support and solving critical procurement issues
• Connecting with corporate functions like Legal and Insurance
• Sharing procurement process knowledge with internal stakeholders

You will need:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce, business administration, engineering, or similar
• Preferred certification in Procurement (CIPS)
• Excellent process management, project management, and negotiation skills
• Significant experience in procurement, supply chain, or customer service
• Familiarity with manufacturing and materials, preferably with a technical background
• Proven negotiation and analytical skills
• Professional time management and communication skills
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in ICT: business management systems, ERP (SAP), and office systems
