Job Overview
Bondade is a local café based on Queen’s Road. We pride ourselves on our vegetarian and vegan menu, artisan coffee and friendly and customer focused environment.
We are looking for two experienced Baristas to join our team. This position is suited for the applicant with a love of making coffee and having great customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in making coffee, be able to master our customised drinks and food menu, and work well with others. Our Baristas will also perform general café duties including cleaning tables, running dishes and helping prepare meals in the kitchen. You’ll get involved with day-to-day operations, stock maintenance, health & safety, store marketing and other activities.
Key responsibilities:
• Accurately prepare coffee drinks
• Read and understand a coffee menu
• Maintain sanitary conditions at the barista station and in the kitchen
• Prepare and serve a variety of food and drinks following company recipes
• Take and complete customer orders
• Handle cash and card transactions
• Ensure customer satisfaction; providing exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons in a friendly manner
• Maintain and clean the café space
• Assist in stocking and replenishing inventory as needed
Skills and Qualifications required
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and ready to hit the ground running. We are happy to train you on kitchen duties, but you must have barista experience
- Minimum 1 year barista experience
- Experience working in customer service
- Must be available to work various shifts across Monday - Sunday
