An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lead Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary Occupational Health and Wellbeing service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for someone who is a natural role model, who consistently demonstrates the Trust values with a passion for supporting and developing others while providing visible leadership skills to motivate and inspire their teams.
The OH department provides the full range of OH services to over 13,000 employees across CUH as well as to external clients. We are proud to be accredited by SEQOHS, meeting the Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health standards.
We aim to improve the health, safety and general wellbeing of all staff, striving to create a healthier working environment, ensuring all staff who work at CUH have a good experience - with a positive impact on their health, safety and wellbeing. Based in a purpose-built building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, our Occupational Health team includes occupational health specialist doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and administrative personnel.
The Occupational Health Senior Lead Nurse will be an active member of the OH senior leadership team and will provide professional guidance, leadership and direction to the OH nursing team.
Part-time (minimum of 30 hours/week over four days) or job share opportunities may be considered.
The post holderwill provide professional oversight to the Occupational Health nursing team. They will be accountable for the efficient and effective operational management of the nursing workforce, guaranteeing provision of high quality evidence based nursing practice, and will play a pivotal role in successfully delivering on our key strategic priorities, physical health, psychological health and screening, surveillance and vaccination.
The post holder will be a strong clinical leader, highly visible and accessible to service users. They will have a particular responsibility to support the developments of Clinical Governance (including SEQOHS), be the Clinical Lead for IT systems and Service Improvement, to modernise services and ensure the active involvement of service users and partners in the way Occupational Health services are developed, delivered and evaluated.
