We are currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Coordinator who will initially work with the cleat engineering team to gain in-depth knowledge in the cleat product range and technical attributes, before moving to the customer service team as the cleat product specialist.

Ultimately as the Technical Sales Coordinator, you will provide technical product support to CMPs sales teams and external customers, through understanding of product specifications and customer’s needs.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide technical advice and support to sales teams and customers
• Be the first point of contact for customers regarding cleat enquires
• Provide advice to stakeholders on the selection of current products
• Create costing estimations for new products and manage the portfolio of existing product costs, ensuring these are reflected in CMP’s internal systems
• Create short circuit calculations (training provided)
• Raise customer quotations and sales orders
• Monitor and evaluate customer feedback, identifying where improvements or new products could add value, cascading these opportunities to the product management team
• Monitor product sales and present sales information to the senior management team
• Provide cleat product and technical knowledge with the customer services team, ensuring knowledge transfer

Who we’re looking for

To apply, we are looking for someone who has experience of working with an engineered product where technical advice was provided to customers, ideally in a high-volume environment. Experience of working in a sheet metal fabrication environment would also be advantageous as would specific experience of metal forming, welding techniques and working with prevailing product standards.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal are essential as are IT skills, in particular excel. Good organisational and time management skills are also a must!

Normal hours of work are 35 per week.
