Scheme Manager based at Penarth & District LaH

Available Hours: Permanent - Part Time - 24 hours per week.

Passionate and motivated person required to further develop MHA's offer for older people in the Penarth & District area. You should be able to:
Build relationships with key stakeholders, maximise opportunities to develop our offer, be flexible in approach, with a strong skill set in IT, budget management and colleague and volunteer management. The hours are flexible, however you should be prepared to work outside of the usual 9-5 to deliver services, fundraise and maximise opportunities and gaps in are provision.

The MHA Communities Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Communities Scheme to meet the needs of older people within the local community. The Scheme could operate across multiple sites within the geographical catchment and all Schemes will vary significantly in size, scale and scope.

The post requires an individual with a range of business and operational skills, but critically, who possess a strong drive to deliver high quality services that reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and promote the wellbeing of older people across a range of community settings.

The MHA Communities Manager will be responsible for line managing any additional staff appointments to the Scheme - this will depend upon the size of the Scheme and the breadth and volume of services delivered. Volunteers are crucial to the successful operating of any MHA Communities Scheme and the Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and selection and on-going support and supervision of all Volunteers.
