About the role

We are now recruiting for a Group eCommerce Manager to join the Science Museum Group, with a combination of site-based working at the Science Museum in London and working from home. The primary purpose of this role is to maximise sales and profit for the Group's eCommerce website whilst controlling costs, which currently consists of the Science Museum online shop.

Your strategic approach will enable new ideas and action plans to continuously optimise online sales.

You will set the strategic direction for the business area and promote growth and development through collaboration with the eCommerce partners, internal stakeholders, and managing existing contracts with the external digital marketing and platform technical development agencies. This will also include the creation of the marketing strategy and technical roadmap for the website.

You will also manage the P&L, including forecasting and budget setting. In collaboration with Retail management, you will ensure that an effective and profitable product catalogue is tailored to the online audiences, ensuring all selling opportunities are maximised.

Contract: Permanent, full time 35 hours per week
Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum

About you

You will have a solid commercial understanding of website sales data and site analytics, along with an understanding of digital marketing strategies and a degree of technical website knowledge.

With knowledge of online retail and customer/user experience, you can utilise eCommerce platforms (such as Shopify Plus) and CMS systems.

You are a great communicator with sound organisational skills which enable you collaborate with a range of teams at different levels.
