Economic Crime Prevention (ECP) provides a high quality, large scale, shared service for customer owning business units in Lloyds Banking Group and third parties, where the purpose is to continue to keep the bank and our customers safe from the impacts of economic crime.

This role will sit within the 3is (Integrated Intelligence and Investigation) team of ECP which has the responsibility to investigate suspicious activity reports to determine whether disclosure to NCA (National Crime Agency) is required, complete customer relationship reviews, and to deliver high-quality intelligence and data led risk management to reduce harm to our communities.

The job holder will work in a collaborative way, to support the Nominated Officer and their deputy in the execution of their duties to deliver a key function within the Group's Anti-Money Laundering defences (detailed in section 331 of the Proceeds of Crime Act), in order to provide capacity for them to deliver Lloyds Banking Group's strategic and regulatory objectives.

You'll work as part of a dynamic team who ensure the banks integrity in reporting obligations under POCA and TACT are maintained and act as a point of referral to provide SME knowledge for DAML and Pre-Event investigations.

  • Provide appropriate advice and guidance to colleagues across the Group and escalate high profile cases through the appropriate channels.
  • Strict consideration of Group Risk Strategy and an in-depth understanding towards Compliance, in addition to AML & CTF Investigation technical knowledge alongside the ability to engage with external agencies, including Law Enforcement agencies, FCA, HMRC, NCA and DWP where necessary.
  • Managing day to day activities in line with our service standards and drive our key performance measures in line with Quality, Cost and Delivery.
  • Provide complex investigation capability in conjunction with the Intelligence, Analysis & Assessment (IA&A) Team as well as supporting the business side of change / projects, acting as point of contact to safely deliver change into the 3is teams.
  • Ensuring Operations deliver against Anti-Money Laundering requirements, including providing oversight and supporting appropriate training to help the team achieve performance targets whilst driving the 3is culture forward.

What you'll need

As a Nominated Officer Support, you'll need to demonstrate compliance/understanding of all appropriate financial crime Legislation, Regulation and the Group's various Financial Crime policies and their associated Minimum Standards. Additionally, you'll identify areas of improvement with ways to better help and support our team, the Group and our customers.

Specifically, we're looking for:

  • Knowledge of and able to evidence excellent POCA and TACT understanding.
  • Intellectual capacity to grasp relevant legislation and apply to complex cases including DAML & DATF investigations.
  • Experience in supporting/coaching colleagues learning and development.
  • Integrity and trust in dealing with regulated activities: liaising with key internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • An ability to identify and mitigate risks, working through and delivering on robust improvements.
