Job summary
Are you an experienced Supplier Manager?

Within DWP Digital, the Supplier Management Team for Universal Credit & Working Age play a central role in supporting the commercial lifecycle and supplier relationships on behalf of the Delivery teams. The Team support on sourcing, working with the Commercial Team on procurement and contracting, governance and supplier management activities to ensure contracts deliver value for money and comply with both internal governance and legislative requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Supplier Manager with strong stakeholder management skills and an eye for detail, process and efficiency. You will play a key role in all aspects of supplier and contract management, supporting the end-to-end milestones by collaborating and supporting the Programme/Delivery lead with initial requirements, managing supplier relationships and monitoring budgets through to contract exit.

You will also be a vital member of our Supplier Management community enabling you to grow and develop both your own skills as well as supporting others within the profession. In addition, you will be joining a team that is committed to supporting you with your development and career progression.

Although there are no mandatory qualifications to apply, the successful candidate must complete the Contract Management Training and Accreditation - Foundation Level (online learning) once in Post.

Job description
As a Supplier Manager, you will support end to end contract management lifecycle from initially identifying contract needs, through to contract exit. You will work with Commercial and Delivery colleagues to ensure robust supplier performance and accountability. Your key accountabilities will be:

Identifying and initiating demand and taking that through the procurement lifecycle (supported by Commercial and Delivery colleagues) and subsequent activity ensuring value for money is achieved.

Maintaining robust management information for tracking contract spend, building financial forecasts and monthly reporting.

Planning future demand management, impacting new demand as appropriate
Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure outcomes meet stakeholder needs
Supporting with Governance activities such as the monitoring of supplier success against set key performance indicators and supporting supplier performance reviews.

Ensuring robust supplier management to manage supplier performance, expediting management information and ensuring value for money is fulfilled.

Be a source of insight and knowledge for Supplier Management related activity
Accountable for all procurement activities, requisitioning contracts, approvals, Receipting of invoices, Completion of Manual Payments, ad hoc queries.

Ownership of cost models and tracking of supplier spend.

Supporting in the production of relevant documentation, i.e., input to Commercial Assurance Documents, Service Contract Assessment Tool.
