Interview Date: TBC

Our school is ‘Good’ (Ofsted 2023), being one of the most popular and successful 11-16 mixed comprehensive schools in the Preston Park area of Brighton, consistently over-subscribed.

Surrenden Pool, which sits on the same campus as Dorothy Stringer School, is managed as a partnership between the school and Brighton & Hove City Council. The council maintain the infrastructure of the pool, and the school manage its day to day activities.

We seek to appoint a Lifeguard to join our team, specifically to cover the following shift Tuesday 8:45am-12:15pm. More shifts may become available throughout the year. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the chosen candidate to join our recently refurbished pool by the Local Authority.

The successful candidates will need to hold a NPLQ qualification, as well as having a good understanding of swimming pool compliance and the associated Health & Safety rigour. Have the ability to work in partnerships within and beyond the school, and the passion to ensure the successful running of the pool.

Visits to the pool can be arranged by contacting Chris Lyddon (CT-CJL@dorothy-stringer.co.uk).

For further details see the Person Specification and Job Description (attached).
