We are looking for a Night Shift Welder to join our expanding team. The role is permanent and located in Stanningley, Leeds.
Working hours are Monday – Thursday / 21:00 – 07:00. (4 day working week)
The role responsibilities
• Responsible for welding sub-assemblies and pressure equipment using various welding. techniques on high integrity pressure equipment.
• Achieving a high success rate on any NDT welds.
• Achieving manufacturing hours and deadlines are achieved to meet the customers’ needs.
• Ensuring you will become part of the right first-time culture.
• Adherence to all Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensuring high levels of quality and workmanship are maintained.
• Supporting other departments in the manufacture of products.
• Completion of all paperwork to maintain complete traceability.
• Slinging and lifting large components.
Essential experience
• Pressure vessels.
• Radiographic and ultrasonic tested welds.
• Stainless steel.
• Welding in 2G position and to weld procedures.
• Manufacturing to engineering drawings.
Core skills
• Pipe welding.
• Open root welding.
• Weld purging.
• GMAW.
• FCAW.
• GTAW.
Desirables skills and experience
• Experience working with Inconel.
• Experience using MMA.
• Experience using SAW.
• Pressure vessel Fabrication ability.
Remuneration and Benefits
• Salary: £23.50 p/h (£16.80+ 40% night shift allowance)
• £500 bonus after 3 months’ probation, plus £500 after 6 months employment.
