Summary
Your new company
Our client is a family company designing, manufacturing and installing their products to facilities with over 40 years' experience.They offer a wide range of equipment supplying to local authorities, architects, schools, builders, holiday and leisure parks and the community. They work closely with all of their customers to ensure that all requirements are completed, and the finished article meets their exact specifications.
Your new role
You will need to be an experienced bookkeeper with similar experience to join a small and friendly team, managing the bookkeeping for two different entities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, and will be based in Selby. You will be responsible for all of the financial transactional processes for the two businesses.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purchase invoice processing and all aspects of purchase ledger
Bank Posting and Reconciliations
Key data into accounting system
Enter and code financial transactions
Preparing monthly management reports
Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
Alertness to variations and any significant variances
Produce sales invoices, maintain sales ledger, credit control
Producing Supplier Payment runs
Support to the Finance Director
Create and post monthly journals, including wages.
Complete accounts to P&L
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Manage payroll submitting CIS returns
Ensuring that all corporate
HMRC & other mandatory deadlines are adhered to
Other general office administration
Filing accounts, quality, and production paperwork
Produce weekly and monthly financial and production reports
VAT returns
Keep track and claim retentions
Manage petty cash transactions
Review and track employee expenses and make reimbursements
What you'll need to succeed
Sage and Excel are essential
Proven to be self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
Ability to use their own initiative
Excellent attention to detail
Manage own deadlines and workloads
Ability to adapt and assist with other areas of administration
Accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written & verbal skills
