Summary

Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Temporary Mobile Sales Assistant to join our team covering the Shropshire and Powys area.

You will join us on a Temporary 16-week, full-time 37.5 hours per week (working 5 out of 7 days to include weekend working) with a potential to be extended. In return, our Temporary Mobile Sales Assistant will receive a competitive rate of £22,308 - £23,327 per annum (dependant on experience).

Here at Hope House Children’s Hospices we are on an exciting journey to increase our annual contribution from our retail business by £300,000 to £1,000,000 a year by 2025, enabling us to reach every child and family who need us and to ensure that nobody faces the death of a child alone.

About the Mobile Sales Assistant role:

As a Temporary Mobile Sales Assistant you will provide shop support and cover to our retail shops across the area, including Welshpool, Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Church Stretton, Ludlow & Bridgnorth.

Reporting to the Area Manager you will provide excellent customer service to enhance the profile of the organisation. On occasion, you may be required to act as the appointed person for emergency situations in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager, to ensure business continuity throughout the retail department. You will provide excellent customer service to our valued customers and donors; you will prepare stock for sale and enjoy creating attractive sales floor displays. Your role will include occasionally being a key holder and supervising volunteers in the absence of the shop management staff.

It is an essential requirement of this role that you have access to a suitable vehicle for work and hold a current UK driving licence

What we are looking for a Mobile Sales Assistant who:


Self-motivated using initiative to achieve goals;
Able to work in a team with the ability to get on with people;
Excellent customer service skills;
Well organised and willing to ‘muck in’ and do whatever is required to ensure the shop functions efficiently and effectively;
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
Numerate with the ability to follow cash handling, recording and banking procedures.
