Candidates are invited to apply for Clinical Fellow Foundation Year 1 with a projected start date of October 2024 until the 5th August 2025. There will be potential for extension for a Clinical Fellow F2 year from August 2025 – August 2026.
The posts will form rotations through Acute Medicine and Trauma & Orthopaedics. Most posts will have a rotation that includes a full shift pattern and may include working evenings, nights, weekends or a mixture of these. Posts that are not part of the full shift rota will work 40 hrs per week Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am – 7pm.
The posts are not recognised for training; however, the appointed candidates will work alongside trainees and will be able to work on competencies towards their e-portfolio. There are already several Clinical Fellow F1 doctors who graduated from Charles University in previous years working at the Trust.
Many of them stay on for a Foundation Year 2 (F2) post from August. The Great Western Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is committed to supporting you and will offer you the same package as the training grade F1 doctors receive.
There is an attractive annual leave package with 27 days leave + 8 bank holidays per annum.
There is a requirement to have full General Medical Council (GMC) registration in order to take up the post. To obtain GMC registration you will need to prove English Language skills. For more information please visit the GMC website:
