Resettlement and Release Planning Manager – HMP Fosse Way

Permanent (Full-Time, 40 Hrs)
Here at Serco we are looking for a Resettlement and Release Planning Manager to join us at HMP Fosse Way. In this position you will be responsible for Resettlement and Release Planning within HMP Fosse Way. You will have an excellent understanding of the clientele and their needs, in relation to activities, along with ensuring that up to date Labour Market Intelligence for the release areas is used to inform activity development. You will be the lead for the delivery of resettlement services at HMP Fosse Way, including oversight and management of 3rd party providers – Partners of Prisoners, Langley House Trust, New Leaf CIC (Departure Lounge), DWP, Care After Combat and the HMPPS Pre-Release Team. You will work closely with the Prison Employment Lead to ensure prisoners have all key requirements in place prior to release to aid their reintegration into the community. You will fully support the reducing re-offending strategy at all times, ensuring that you liaise with internal and external colleagues and departments to increase opportunities for employment and housing throughout HMP Fosse Way
Some of the responsibilities of the COM are as follows:
- Be key manager for Resettlement and Release Planning within HMP Fosse Way
- Responsible for chairing key meetings such as the Resettlement Board
- Responsible for all third-party providers in relation to release planning.
- To increase the resettlement activities on offer at HMP Fosse Way.
- To regularly review the resettlement activities offered.
- To support the Reducing Re-offending Strategy and contribute to it.
- To be a part of the Reducing Reoffending Group and fully participate in meetings when requested.
- To work with internal departments to identify appropriate activities.
- To work with the Head of Education, Skills and Work and Prison Employment Lead to identify appropriate activities.
- To represent HMP Fosse Way at meetings throughout the custodial estate, as required.
- To represent HMP Fosse Way at business events such as Chamber of Commerce and external partners.
- To assist in responses to formal Prisoner complaints/queries, taken appropriate remedial action where necessary
- To submit procurement request following agreed policies
- To support, listen and develop all staff, as required.
- To ensure that health and safety procedure are compiled at all times
- To fairly and effectively apply company policy, to challenge poor performance and behaviour
- To understand activities wider departmental practices
- To maintain links and information exchange with appropriate partnerships
- To undertake other duties as directed by senior management

Qualifications:
Minimum
GCSE (Grade 4 or above) Maths and English Language

Experience
