Telent are looking for an addition to the Process Management team within the Network Services division. We are now looking for a Change and Release Coordinator - someone who is passionate in providing robust administrative support for the wider team and support key change and release initiatives for the successful delivery of our services. This role is based out of our Camberley office - at least 1 day per week, up to 2 days per week depending on your experience, will be based in the office, and the remainder of the role will be working from home.

Reporting to the Process Design and Knowledge Manager, the successful Change and Release Coordinator will work closely with operational teams to ensure all actions relating to changes and releases are tracked within our ITSM tool, Remedy, and that processes and procedures are followed by all stakeholders. This role is effectively a "Coordinator" position - we are looking for someone who has fantastic administrative skills, as well as being able to coordinate resources in an operational environment, and supporting the wider team on any changes and releases.

Within the Service Operations team, you will coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure planning and testing of all releases are undertaken, and the successful implementation of RFC's including;

  • Infrastructure changes on both telent and customer managed networks
  • Approved and authorised software releases
  • Onboarding and offboarding of new/changed services

As the Change and Release Coordinator, you will need to be confident to work as part of a team as well as individually, naturally be process driven with an eye for detail and accuracy. We are looking for good communication skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders, whilst comfortably using your own judgement to deal with issues raised, and escalating issues where needed.

Change and Release Coordinator - What you'll do:

  • To prioritise and coordinate the end-to-end Change and Release Management process and procedures
  • Coordinating stakeholders to ensure all actions are tracked through Change and Release
  • Build good working relationships with stakeholders and ensure effective change communications
  • Achieve contractual SLT and internal OLA targets
  • Work with other process owners to ensure all processes are aligned across the SMS
  • Resourcing of technical resources to meet business requirements
  • Ensure all releases are technically signed off as planned, tested and approved prior to implementation where applicable
  • Attend and take meeting minutes at weekly CAB meetings
  • Identify potential standard changes and releases and work with CAB approvers to seek business approval
  • Ensure all RFC's have undergone risk and impact assessments with technical teams as appropriate
  • Ensure all emergency changes are captured and raised appropriately
  • Review and take appropriate action for all unsuccessful changes with the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure all QEHS risks are flagged and appropriate measures are in place to enable safe working practices
  • Scheduling technical resource to meet Change and Release targets
  • Ensuring all actions are tracked within a change and/or release tracker

Change and Release Manager - Key requirements:

  • Good Project Coordinator / Coordinator and Administration experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must be able to gain SC clearance, NPPV3 and Houses of Parliament security clearances
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications with particular focus on MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Good customer service and organisation skills
  • Experience of using BMC Remedy SmartIT (desirable but not essential)
  • ITIL Foundation V3/V4 (desirable but not essential)
  • Project Management experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Change management experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Release management experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Able to chair stakeholder meetings
  • Document writing and document management
