This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within our established Oakland 16 bedded unit in the Swadlincote area. This post sits within our Rapid Response team and opportunity to rotate into this team will be available one day a week.

The Oakland bedded unit and Rapid Response team provides timely and appropriate care to our patients to support flow out of hospital and into the local community.

Our Swadlincote Community Care Services are a multi-disciplinary team, providing person-centred holistic care to patients with a wide variety of health conditions.

As a senior Band 6 clinician you are required to hold a clinical caseload in Oakland, along with line management and support for junior staff.

Part-time hours may be available.

The post holder will work alongside social services, therapists, nurses and admin staff to ensure all referrals into the Community Care Service are clinically triaged and an appropriate and timely response provided.

The post will involve patient-facing visits in the community and responsibility of your own caseload of patients in the Oakland unit.

The post will involve supporting junior staff and assistants and line management responsibilities for them, ensuring high standards of evidence-based clinical care,

During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.
