Summary
Dalkia UK have a fantastic opportunity for a Multi-skilled Technician / Engineer (electrical bias) for our client EDF's showcase residential training and conference centre Cannington Court in Somerset.
Hours of work
40 hours pw 8am – 4.30pm (+ participate in shared on-call rota of approximately 1 week in 3)
Work Location: On-site at Cannington Court with occasional visits to local satellite sites
Role Overview
Reporting to the Technical Lead you will play a crucial role in the operation, maintenance and ongoing compliance of all electrical and mechanical systems of this first class, unique conference facility.
Responsibilities
Carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks, repairs and operations of equipment and services in accordance with best practice
Ensure that all third party contractors that are requested to carry out work on site, do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by any company or site specific procedures
Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are reviewed for work being carried out
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Ensure the operation of the centre is compliant at all times.
Requirements
Good all round maintenance engineer with strong electrical knowledge
C&G part 1 & 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognised equivalent.
Health and Safety Training including knowledge of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
GCSE (or ‘O’ Level equivalent) passes in Maths and English or recognised equivalent.
Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification.
Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules. Experienced in Electrical Installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
A good understanding of Building Critical and Non-Critical Systems.
Knowledge in CAFM PPM Management System (Concept) via handheld PDA
Desirable
C&G Electrical Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
18th Edition IEE Electrical Regulations.
BMS (Building Management System knowledge and understanding.
A good basic Mechanical understanding.
Understanding of COSHH and handling of substances.
