Summary
We are supporting our Dover based client in their search for a Customs Clearance Clerk, this is a great opportunity to join a well established team.
This is a full time permanent role that is based on shift work over a 7 day period (includes days, nights and weekends)
The main purpose of the role if to maintain customs formalities and complete customs entries for customers.
Duties include:
- Data input and generating the correct documentation
- Completing customs clearance and entries for all shipments
- Dealing with queries over the phone and by email
- Build a strong rapport with both customers and colleagues
Requirements:
- Experience of customs clearance/forwarding would be preferred but it is not essential as full training will be provided
- Strong written and verbal communication is essential
- Able to work effectively alone or as part of a team
- Proficient with IT software such as MS office.
- Flexible to to shift work (This is set in advance - 4 week rota)
Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience)
