We're looking for an associate family law solicitor to join us at Co-op Legal Services, as part of our growing Family Law team.

At Co-op Legal Services we do things differently, we're passionate about providing an exceptional client experience and our Family department has a 4.8/5 trust pilot rating owing to just that. In this role you'll manage a variety of new and existing family caseloads end-to-end and take a client-focussed approach to achieving targets. You won't need to bring a following of clients with you as we will source these for you, and you don't need to support with the business development side allowing you more time to focus on your cases. What you'll do

  • Provide legal advice to clients over the phone and via other written communications channels
  • Progress a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation and mediation
  • Make sure our various targets are met
  • Support the team in progressing more complex cases as needed
  • Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence
  • Continuously develop your legal knowledge and awareness in all areas of family law

This role would suit people who have

  • Qualified as solicitor / CILEX qualified, with experience in handling privately funded family law matters
  • Solid technical knowledge of divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation, and children law
  • Experience using a case management system
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with partners up to senior level
  • Good attention to detail and a strong customer focus
