We are looking for GPs to join our rapidly expanding service for evening, weekend and overnight shifts. Shift lengths negotiable starting from 6 - 12 hours duration, to fit in with your other commitments and activities.
We’re based at Hillingdon Hospital, and are an integral part of providing seamless urgent care to our patients. Co-located with the Emergency Department, the UTC team comprises emergency practitioners, GP's, emergency medicine clinicians, registered nurses, patient champions and a dedicated admin and reception team. There are robust pathways for ongoing management into ED and the wider hospital teams, with easy access to diagnostics, same day emergency care and links with community colleagues
You will need to be a fully qualified GP on the GMC’s GP register. We’d like you to have experience of working in UTC or similar environment. You’ll be organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork, and have excellent time management skills – able to prioritise work and work under pressure. The UTC is open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week including bank holidays and we would welcome applicants on a sessional, less than full time and full time basis with fixed shifts available or a rotation of in and out of hours shifts.
You will deliver care of the highest clinical standards and will work in conjunction with our Lead GP, Service Manager and the nursing team to ensure effective overall performance of the Hillingdon UTC.
As a GP employed directly by our NHS Trust you’ll have access to an excellent range of benefits, including generous annual leave allowance, supportive and family-friendly policies, study leave, and most of all the opportunity to contribute your skills and experience and to help improve our service for the benefit of local people.
