Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our organization as a Digital Forensics Investigator Grade F. In this role, you will play a crucial role in our organization's efforts to combat cybercrime and ensure the security of our digital assets. As a Digital Forensics Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into any incidents or breaches, collecting and analyzing digital evidence, and providing expert testimony when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital forensic tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Responsibilities
Conduct digital forensic investigations to identify, recover, and analyze electronic data from various devices and platforms.
Preserve and document evidence obtained during investigations to ensure its admissibility in legal proceedings.
Perform in-depth analysis of digital evidence, including email communications, network logs, and other digital artifacts.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather and analyze relevant information for investigations.
Create detailed reports outlining findings, analysis, and recommendations for further action.
Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings, presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in digital forensics tools and techniques, and share knowledge with the team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital forensics or a related role.
Strong knowledge of digital forensic tools, including EnCase, FTK, and X-Ways Forensics.
Proficient in analyzing a wide range of digital evidence, such as computers, mobile devices, and network logs.
Solid understanding of network protocols, file systems, and encryption technologies.
Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to digital forensics and evidence handling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Professional certifications such as CFCE, EnCE, or CCE are preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost integrity.
