Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia team at MFT dueto expansion of thoracic surgery. We are recruiting 1 new specialist doctor post to join our team of cardiothoracic anesthetists and intensivists. These could be suited to a range of candidates including Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists, Cardiac Intensivists or those wishing to do both. Person specification will vary to the type of post you are seeking.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the Greater Manchester tertiary cardio-thoracic service hosted at MFT, undertaking a very broad spectrum of clinical activity with the opportunity to become involved in quality improvement projects and audit/research.

The Directorate of Anaesthesia and Critical Carecurrently has opportunities to be part of the consultant team, based at the Wythenshawe site, with additional scope to work on other sites within the Trust.

The Division of Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine consists of nearly 200 consultants and the scale of the service across a number of hospital sites provides significant subspecialisation and the opportunity to develop within a particular area of interest.
