Based in one of our locality disability teams, you will be part of a team providing a wide range of supports to people with disabilities across North Lanarkshire. Our locality support service offers people a flexible and reactive support service to meet their needs and aspirations.
As a Locality Support Worker, you have a vital role in providing support and assistance to help ensure people live independent and full lives, ensuring they have access to opportunities which enable them to live their lives in a manner which fulfils their needs, including social and leisure activities, lifelong learning and employment pursuits. You will build positive relationships with the individuals you support, working closely with families and carers to ensure there is greater choice and control over how people can overcome the challenges they face, helping ensure they enjoy a fulfilled life.
We are looking for people to join us who are both caring and compassionate and has experience providing high quality support to people with disabilities and/or sensory impairments. Possession of a SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
Work pattern:
Both 35 hours and 17.5 hour posts avaliable, hours will be discussed at interview.
Part time positions are based in:
Airdrie
Bellshill
Cumbernauld
Motherwell
Temporary positions are based in:
Bellshill, temporary until 31 December 2024
Wishaw, temporary until 31 March 2025

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
