What’s the Job?
We’re looking for a Support Technician to join the Hospitality team on a part year 38 weeks 08:45-16:30 standard working hours, Monday - Wednesday with occasional evening work as required.
Who we’re looking for
You will have a sound knowledge, experience and understanding of the Hospitality industry. You will be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach while also being capable of setting up kitchens in preparation for lessons, prepare materials, monitor equipment and support with the everyday classroom activities supporting the staff and students. You will be a highly motivated individual that can work effectively within the team.
To succeed in the role, you will have some or all of the following:
• You will be educated to SCQF Level 5/6 or have relevant skills and experience in with a relevant level 5/6 in food related qualification or equivalent, as well as Level 2 Food Safety Certificate, coupled with a thorough knowledge of the relevant curriculum and the ability to perform a technical support role to contribute to effective learning
• Experience within the Hospitality industry
• Experience of working in a similar support role is essential/ desirable.
• Strong customer service/ organisation/ teamworking and relationship building skills.
• Good/ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using MS Office
• This post is required to be based on Campus in Stranraer
