Summary

We are looking for an experienced information management and business intelligence professional, who has a knowledge of relevant technologies and tools. This will include data analytics and visualisation including PowerBI, as well as experience in managing databases, repositories, knowledge and information management systems and the architectures they are built upon. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also crucial, as the successful candidate will need to work closely with internal and external customers to understand their information needs and develop effective solutions. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to information management and exploitation. Leadership skills and the ability to lead and mentor staff will also be important for success in this role. Overall, we are looking for a driven and innovative individual who is passionate about making a substantial impact on the success of RMAS Gp.

The business intelligence manager is the primary staff officer for IM & IX in supporting the Chain of Command to:

Develop and implement strategies for managing, organising and disseminating information assets and business intelligence data.
Work with specialist teams to design, implement and manage databases, repositories knowledge management systems and their security architectures as product and application owner.
Use business intelligence tools and techniques (including the use of the O365 suite of applications) to enable the identification of patterns and trends in data to support decision making.
Develop, maintain and enforce the Information Management plan to provide coherent direction to Heads of Departments (HoDs) including include leading briefs and providing training.
Lead on data governance, ensuring compliance, accountability and determine requirements that reflects the organisations ethos and values.
Supervise and enable the Gp HQ iHub and the coherence of distributed iHub staff across the academy to support delivery of iAdmin, IM, IX and user account and security management.
Be the authority for the retention policy of records including Protectively Marked material where held and be the authority on DPA.
Deliver project management functions across relevant data projects to cohere outputs and deliver outcomes.
Line Manager Responsibilities for 1 x Civil Servant and 2 x Military staff.
Health & Safety responsibility for staff and promote Diversity and Inclusion within the workplace.
