LOCATION: This role will involve travelling around Rugby and surrounding areas
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12 Month Contract
WORKING HOURS: This role will be on annualised hours. A flexible approach to your hours will be essential to meet the seasonality needs of the business

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Seed Mobile Assistant / Agricultural Farming Field Support Driver who has good product knowledge of seed used in agriculture with excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills.
Working as the Seed Mobile Assistant / Agricultural Farming Field Support Driver you will assist in the efficient and safe running of the mobile seed processing section of the seed business.
As the Seed Mobile Assistant / Agricultural Farming Field Support Driver you will drive a support vehicle accompanying the seed lorry to customers locations with seed treatment and other equipment necessary to complete the work.
You will also liaise with depot staff regarding collections for seed operations, and support distribution by driving out of seed season when needed. Ideally you will also have some mechanical aptitude and support the servicing and repairs of machinery when needed.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Seed Mobile Assistant / Agricultural Farming Field Support Driver include:
• Operate all machinery safely and in accordance with Company standards, forklift trucks, processing plant and all other company vehicles. Any records associated with this machinery must be filed and readily available
• Ensure stock records are kept up to date, and all stock requirements from the store must be in consultation with the depot supervisor or his deputy
• Maintain the vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe condition
• Safe transportation and storage of any produce to prevent any form of contamination
• Adhere to company service standards, procedures and ways of working
• Adhere to road safety laws and the highway code
• Adhere to all Company processes and utilise all IT systems to aid with route planning, personal safety and professional and effective delivery system
• Ensure you and other team members work in a safe manner and follow all Health & Safety requirements and procedures
• Remain focused at all times on presenting a professional and courteous service to all customers and being the ‘face’ of the company
• To assist in general depot duties as instructed by the Seed Mobile Manager
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge of product storage solutions
• Knowledge of local area and appropriate routes
• Knowledge of seed
• Communication and influencing skills
• IT literate
• Ability to work as part of self-managed team
• Experience working in a customer facing environment
• Ability to maintain accurate and legible vehicle records
• Farming / agriculture (desirable)
• Environmental Awareness (essential)
• Mechanical aptitude would be advantageous
• Full Driving licence
• Forklift truck licence (s) desirable but not essential
• Manual Handling training
• First Aid Trained (training can be provided)
• PA1 & PA11 trained desirable but not essential
• Mechanical & Engineering experience
