Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior Category Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial
role in managing and overseeing category strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and delivering value through
effective procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead procurement for a category or categories worth £20-30 million annually.
* Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies to optimize costs and enhance supplier relationships.
* Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts to deliver savings and support cost improvement programs.
* Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure effective supply chain management.
* Foster a high-performing team and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements
* MCIPS or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in procurement strategy, contract management, and cost reduction.
* Experience in managing high-value, complex projects and teams.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Experience in the public sector and NHS procurement is desirable.
