Oliver is a young adult aged 23 (24 in October) who has a Autism diagnosis. Oliver is partially verbal, able to express what he wants and when (in most cases), however he is not a conversationalist. He has limited understanding of danger(e.g. roads/strangers). He enjoys spending time outside (on dry days), but doesn’t like getting wet. He likes to spend time travelling on trains, Newcastle metro, going to the beach, visiting landmarks such as Angel of the North and Penshaw Monument. He enjoys sausage and chips and McDonald take aways as treats when out. His favourite pastime is playing on an ipad or computer, varying between drawing, playing games or watching u tube. He is a loveable young adult with the standard comment made by his carers and others who know him ‘everyone loves Oli.
Update : this position is not weekly, it is on specific dates due to current carer being unavailable , however there may be more hours available.
