Deputy Nurse Manager

Salary: £44,000

Hours per week: 40

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our client's dynamic nursing team. As the Deputy Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management and leadership of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality care for all patients.

The role will be based in a small nursing home that offers nursing and residential care to older adults.

Qualifications
  • RGN (Registered General Nurse) qualification, with a valid UK NMC Pin
  • Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, such as Deputy Manager or similar position
  • Strong clinical and assessment skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on collaboration and team building
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and standards, with a dedication to ensuring compliance
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and coordination of nursing staff, including staffing schedules and performance evaluations
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards of care
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care delivery
  • Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and medication administration to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Act as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
  • Serve as a role model for nursing staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, empathy, and respect
