Are you an experienced Team Leader in Supported Living or looking for the next step in your Care and Support Career with experience in Supported Living? Look no further
We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Team Leader to join our company based in Surrey as a Team Leader for our Brand New Supported Living Service. You will be responsible for shift leading a team of staff to support individuals in their own flats which are 8 flats in one location in Camberley. We are looking for someone with experience in supporting people that need positive behaviour support and encouragement in their day to day lives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TEAM LEADER:
o Working as a team player while leading, guiding and supervising while on Shift
o Administering medication, including ensuring medication counts are correct and checking other competencies.
o Support people to attend their heath & wellbeing appointments.
o Supporting people in our service to/and liaising with families, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that the appropriate support is provided
o Designing and implementing with your line manager support plans and risk assessments, ensuring the team with you are always work to them.
o Support those who need it with food preparation and other life skills to promote independence.
o Help the people we support to access employment, education and leisure opportunities if they wish to.
o Assist the people we support to develop and maintain relationships with family and friends.
o Support people in the services to become a valued members of the community and fulfil their wishes and aspirations.
o Be responsible for any maintenance issues at the Camberley site.
o To be prepared to cover on call as part of the Supported Living Management team.

NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or willing to work toward
Be well-organised, Self-Motivated and delegating work appropriately.
Proven ability to lead and supervise others.
A good understanding of Support planning, Risk assessing and the Mental Capacity Act (DOLs)
Be experienced in or confident to undertake training on administering medication.
Above all, have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling.
