Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance is expanding the workforce and education team. We are looking to appoint an Education & Marketing Coordinator toprovide comprehensive administrative & marketing support to education provider for the Alliance - Greater Manchester Cancer Academy. The Coordinator will work very closely with the team in engaging across the GM health and social care system, and will be a point of contact for all education activities. The postholder will lead in providing administrative support for conferences, events, skills labs, as well as meetings and boards. The role will be essential in maintaining the GM Cancer Academy website, education directory, and will be responsible for the creation and sustaining of all promotional activities.
The post is 1.0 WTE and is fixed term until Feb 2025 in the first instance. This is a secondment only opportunity.
• Lead the production of marketing and promotional materials (design and production of posters, flyers, agendas, mailshots)
• Create and maintain content for the Cancer Academy social media channels
• Collate and track key analytical marketing data that can be shared at the monthly Cancer Academy Programme Board
• Contribute to the Greater Manchester Cancer Conference in the coordination of committee meetings, marketing and event management
• Develop good working knowledge and relationships with key contacts and stakeholders across the GM education system
• Create systems to monitor and report on progress across all workstreams
• Field all queries relevant to the Cancer Academy, offering advice and directing queries to the relevant individuals as appropriate
• Deliver event schedules to include; liaising with suppliers, adhering to health & safety obligations, staffing and budgets
• Keep budgetary records on behalf of the Cancer Academy with the support of the Education Officer
• Attend exhibitions and events to network and raise the profile of the Cancer Academy
• Provide secretarial support to the Cancer Academy team and support note taking at meetings when required

Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance (GM Cancer) is a venture that brings together patients, charities, NHS and academic institutions with the aim of securing world-class cancer outcomes and experience for our population. Greater Manchester Cancer is the cancer programme of the Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board.
The GM Cancer Academy is a Programme of work within the Workforce and Education Programme. The team are dynamic, diligent, and passionate about supporting the cancer workforce to ensure they have equitable access to training and education to develop the right skills to respond to the needs of people affected by cancer, adapt to new, improved ways of working, continue to modernise the way they work, and embrace technology to deliver the best quality healthcare.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
· Develop good working knowledge and relationships with key contacts and stakeholders across the GM education system
· Create systems to monitor and report on progress across all workstreams
· Field all queries relevant to the Cancer Academy, offering advice and directing queries to the relevant individuals as appropriate
· Monitor the GM Cancer Academy Inbox
· Provide secretarial support to the Cancer Academy team and support note taking at meetings when required
MARKETING
· Maintain customer relationship database and coordinate marketing campaigns
· Ensure General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is adhered to through all activity
· Work creatively within set guidelines to ensure effective design and marketing concepts are utilised in the promotion of the Cancer Academy
· Lead the production of marketing and promotional materials (design and production of posters, flyers, agendas, mailshots)
· Lead on the upkeep of the Cancer Academy website, proactively adding new content and sustaining the education directory
· Create and maintain content for the Cancer Academy social media channels
· Produce a schedule of marketing activity across the calendar year to highlight key national days and awareness months
· Promote the Cancer Academy as the hive of cancer education across the GM system, delivering the highest quality education and training
· Advertise Academy offers on external websites
· Collate and track key analytical marketing data that can be shared at the monthly Cancer Academy Programme Board
EDUCATION ACTIVITY RESPONSIBILITES
· Creation of registration pages for educational offers
· Support the delivery of education activities and events to an agreed timescale
· Be the lead administrator for educational activities
· Be present at Cancer Academy events to coordinate all activities and be the main point of contact
· Identify any issues on events and take appropriate action seeking the advice of, and reporting back to the team where necessary
· Produce detailed data analysis, to inform current and future plans, to ensure education activity continues to be delivered to a high standard and identify potential areas for activity
· Deliver event schedules to include; liaising with suppliers, adhering to health & safety obligations, staffing and budgets
· Maintain and review accurate records for activity delivered by the team ensuring it is clear, coherent and consistent
· Work flexibly to support the development of activity within the team
· Produce event outputs including event logs and evaluations and advise senior colleagues to continually improve future events
· Source appropriate venues for education activity and liaise with them, providing a detailed list of requirements
· Monitor registration rates for the education offers, measuring that the targets are being met, reporting to the team and suggesting necessary action
· Contribute to the Greater Manchester Cancer Conference in the coordination of committee meetings, marketing and event management
FINANCE
· Keep budgetary records on behalf of the Cancer Academy with the support of the Education Officer
· Raise purchase order requisitions, invoice external organisations, process personal payments, ensuring that processes comply with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions
· Meet sponsorship income targets acting as the main point of contact for sponsors; issuing paperwork, coordinating contracts, maintaining financial records and welcoming them to events
GENERAL
· Attend exhibitions and events to network and raise the profile of the Cancer Academy
· Work flexibly around the Academy needs, to include early mornings and evenings on an adhoc basis
· To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the post
· Undertake all essential training relevant to the role
· Engage proactively in all personal appraisal, and work to improve all aspects of service delivery
