Summary

We, TLT are searching for a Contract Senior Paralegals or junior Contract Lawyers who will act as section leads for a team of paralegals with experience in document review or handling a litigious caseload. The role will be on an initial 3 month contract but with likelihood of extension or being redeployed onto other projects within the firm. This is offering support on a high-profile review exercise, you will be supervised by our Managed Legal Services team.

This will be a short term project but provides a great opportunity for longer term opportunities within the firm. We are looking for candidates to be available from Mid August onwards. This role will be on a predominately remote basis with some potential office attendance in one of our locations.

Please note that this role will require you to work via an umbrella company and is on a day rate basis.

Your Role

  • Conduct second line review / quality assurance on the relevancy coding and redactions made by the initial review team
  • Feedback trends and identify training gaps or process improvements
  • Maintain QC outcomes that do not exceed 5% fail on 2LoD QA review

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Ideally 12 months experience working as a paralegal with some prior supervisory experience preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility
  • Good knowledge of Word and Outlook is required and experience in Excel, PowerPoint, interwoven would be beneficial
  • Desirable, but not essential, are proficient Excel skills (with basic and lookup formulas, pivot tables, pivot charts & managing large spreadsheets) and the ability to export data to other spreadsheets and charts efficiently, whilst also being able to put together easy-to-read analysis
  • To have basic knowledge of and be able to use common functions of relevant computer applications with appropriate training
