Job Title: Civilian Investigator
Location: Hendon
Contract: 12 months (with potential extension)
Role Overview:
As a Civilian Investigator, you will support Officers in Charge (OICs) with investigations, including taking statements, researching documents, and preparing case files. This role offers regular office hours, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take statements from victims and witnesses
- Assist in suspect interviews and evidence gathering
- Collaborate with partner agencies
- Prepare case files and evidence for court
- Use internal IT systems for research and record-keeping
Skills/Experience:
- Investigative background, experience with case files and disclosure schedules
- Knowledge of criminal law and police procedures
- Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- PIP 2 qualification is desirable
- Experience with complex investigations and working collaboratively
Locations Available:
- Hendon
Additional Information:
- Full-time, with the option for condensed hours (4-day week, 36 hours)
- Minimum two days in the office, up to three days working from home
