Our client, a precision engineering company, supplying bespoke products to the aerospace and defence sectors, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Planner Estimator to join our team. The Planner Estimator will play a key role in the planning and estimation of projects, utilising their skills in Bill of Materials (BOM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and cradle-to-grave project planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative team and contribute to the success of our organisation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all planning and estimation activities are in compliance with company policies and industry standards for precision engineering in aerospace and defence sectors.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and estimates for a variety of projects within the aerospace and defence sectors.
- Create all BOM and ERP data and accurately use the systems to estimate project costs and resource requirements tailored to the precision engineering sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and successful execution within the aerospace and defence sectors.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in project planning and develop improvement plans specifically geared towards precision engineering in the aerospace and defence sectors.
Qualifications
- At least HNC in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project planning and estimation, with expertise in BOM, ERP, and improvement planning within the precision engineering, aerospace, or defence sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities tailored to precision engineering.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in the aerospace and defence sectors.
Day-to-Day
- Reviewing project requirements and creating detailed project plans and estimates for precision engineering projects within the aerospace and defence sectors.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for projects.
- Analysing BOM and ERP data to inform project cost and resource estimations specific to precision engineering.
- Participating in regular meetings to provide updates on project planning activities and collaborate on improvement plans.

39 hours per week standard: 8am-5:30pm (Factory opens at 6 - flexible start time). 5 hours on Friday
